I have to say this was a fun card to make. I just kept adding things and it suddenly came together. Leave me a comment to tell me what you think.
Did you wonder how I got perfectly matched Pretty in Pink thread in the buttons? It's cardstock. I trimmed it off the side of some scrap and then used it like thread. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries because it's so thin - but it's worth it!
Here is a closeup:
Have a great day!

Sorry this is so late - had the day off of work and you know how that goes. A few errands took forever! I have to admit one of them was to go to the fabric store and get lots of goodies to share in the next few weeks. I think you're going to love them. I got candy sticks and vases to show you next week - what do you think I will do with them?
Thanks to everyone who is taking time to fill out my little survey with the chance to WIN BIG! Remember it closes at 11:59pm on Sunday, January 31. Good luck!
Today's card has NO stamping! I used the Pennant Die to make the triangles and the scallop at the top of the card - so cute! Then I just ran a scrap of Regal Rose through the Big Shot again using the Heart Embosslit and wrapped the whole thing with Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon. You can grab the scallop and pull the notecard out of the triangle holder. I used the glittered DSP from Sending Love behind it. Click on the picture to enlarge. Leave a comment and tell me what you think - would you like to try this layout in an upcoming class?

Time for some blog candy! This Love Bug set is just too cute! There are so many great things you can make with it. I'm also in love with the Sending Love Specialty DSP from Stampin' Up! The glitter is just so beautiful and it NEVER comes off. Here is a picture of what you will get if you are the lucky winner:
What do you have to do? Fill out this quick survey to help me make my classes better for you. I will draw one name from all the entries using a random number generator. Your surveys will be sorted in the order they are received to find out what number they are. The survey will close on Sunday, January 31 at 11:59pm EST. I will post the winner on Monday morning.
Don't live in the area - I'm launching Classes InBox next month. These will be classes where you can get the instructions delivered to your email inbox! For an extra fee I will also send you all the materials you need and for a little more you can even have me assemble them.
BE SURE TO USE THE SLIDE BAR AT THE RIGHT OF THE SURVEY TO SEE THE WHOLE THING. THERE ARE ONLY FOUR QUESTIONS - GOOD LUCK!

This is SO easy! I took a look at my table and saw all these scraps of DSP from previous cards. I decided to use them and show you that simple can be beautiful too. I had to fight really hard to not add some ribbon or a brad, but I think I like what I made. What do you think? Practice making a comment today - tomorrow you get blog candy for letting me know what you think!
Have a great day!

Here is today's sample. Again, very little stamping, but lots of punching and sponging. I've found this is the best way to quickly produce multiple cards. You can quickly and easily make lots of these. I used the I {heart} Hearts stamp set - remember this is the set that we are promoting to help with the Haitian Relief through the American Red Cross. You can check THIS post for details on ordering this stamp set. Here is a list of the other products I used:

Just a basic card today - not even any stamping! Anyway, I used a Basic Grey card as the base and tucked in a little Whisper White layer - it is the thing that really made the card. The top layer is Pretty in Pink cardstock run through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder. I layered a piece of the Sending Love DSP at the bottom of the card. The top layer is created with the Basic Grey Satin Ribbon and a Basic Grey heart cut with the Heart of Hearts embosslit.
Enjoy!

I know the traditional colors for Valentine's are in the reds and pinks, who says you can't mix it up? for this card I used the Bella Blue DSP, and layered the pieces on a Very Vanilla cardstock layer that was sent through the Finial Press Embossing Folder. The card itself is Bordering Blue as is the Curly Label punch that is stamped with the Love You image from Whimsical Words. I got the little bit of Very Vanilla to show by running one of the Movers and Shapers through the Big Shot. The Bliss Blue Satin ribbon is decorated with a piece from the Very Vanilla Styled Hardware. I'm still really enjoying the sponging - I think it's a phase. I used Brocade Blue to sponge the heart and Night of Navy to sponge the DSP. That's it!

Don't you just love this? Can you tell I've discovered the sponge again? Sorry about the little thread on the left - whoever gets this in 2 1/2 weeks I will make sure that I trim it. So what did I use? Real Red for the card and the Corner Rounded panel, Polka Dot Heart Embosslit, Finial Press Embossing Folder and Full Heart Punch for the hearts. Then I added Very Vanilla Satin 5/8" ribbon with a Fire Circle brad. The Kraft Cardstock layer has been run through the Big Shot too with the Defining Texturz Plate.
NOTE: I didn't like the quality of the origninal picture - I trimmed the ribbon and retook the picture - don't strain to find the little threads:)
Have a great day!

I hope you're enjoying these posts - I'm having fun making them for you. Today's card is a simple one in a size I don't use enough: 6" by 3" cardfront. You can make four of these cards from one 12 by 12 sheet of cardstock.
The recipe for this card is:
Stamps: I {heart} Hearts, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock: Real Red, Very Vanilla
Other: Pretty in Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Eyelet Punch, Word Window Punch

Starting my 12 Days of Heart - during the next 12 days you'll get all sorts of ideas for Valentine's. For my first sample, I really wanted to get the Bermuda Bay polka-dot ribbon on this card. Then when I finished the layers it didn't look right with a wrap and tie anywhere. That's when it hit me - what about a little knot! I used the 1/4" punch to make a small hole in the lower right corner and then pulled the ribbon through. After I made the knot I put adhesive on both ends so they would stay behind the card. What do you think?
For this card I used:
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White and Kraft
Stamps: I {heart} Hearts
Ribbon: Bermuda Bay Polka-Dot
Extras: 1/4" punch
Have a great day!

One of the cards at the February Card Cafe (February 5 at 7:30pm at my home - 129 Fresh Meadow Drive, Trumbull, CT 06611) uses the Finial Press embossing folder. The trick is that the card has an oval in the center of it that omits the embossing folder - remember? Click HERE to view that post.
Well, I thought I'd share my secret - here it is:
I ran the On-Board chipboard (large book pieces) through the Big Shot with the Scallop Oval Bigz Die. I pulled out the oval and used transparent tape to keep the scallop oval in its place. This became a layer in my "sandwich" when I used the Big Shot. I placed it underneath the Finial Press Embossing Folder. It really makes a great addition to using the Big Shot and Embossing Folders.
Take a moment to register for the Card Cafe class by clicking HERE.
Have a great day!

I thought this would be a cute idea for Sale-a-Bration time. I stamped the new Fox and Friends stamps on our Note Cards (that come with envelopes all ready to go). I used the In-Color Markers - what do you think? In these samples I used the Family Phrases stamp set, but you could purchase all of these items (plus a Bone Folder) and then get the Happy Moments stamp set for FREE. See the picture below for the details of that stamp set.
If you need to see the details better, click on the picture to enlarge it.
